Breathedge 2 is a single-player space survival comedy from RedRuins Softworks (published by HypeTrain Digital), Early Access since August 31, 2026. This Breathedge 2 crafting guide (blueprints / recipes) explains the Chapter 1 craft loop: learn a blueprint, scavenge the missing mats, build the tool that opens the next salvage layer, then spend leftovers on suit and oxygen quality-of-life. Exact material counts drift in EA — unverified tables are marked 待实机. Verified September 3, 2026 · Buy on Steam.

How does the blueprint loop work?
Official framing is simple: explore wrecks, learn blueprints, craft tools and equipment, then upgrade the suit so you can reach colder / farther salvage. In practice the UI split is “encyclopedia knowledge” plus a craft / workbench queue. You rarely need a huge stockpile — you need the next missing ingredient for the gate recipe.
Step
Player action
Failure mode
Discover
Pick up a blueprint or unlock via objective / encyclopedia
Ignoring the new entry and scavenging blind
Inspect
Open the recipe; note every missing mat
Remembering counts wrong — trust the UI
Scavenge
Take a short orbit aimed at those mats only
Touring half the map until oxygen dies
Craft
Build, then hotbar / link the tool to a slot
Leaving the tool in inventory unused
Apply
Use it on the blocked panel / deposit / repair
Crafting cosmetics before gate tools
Workbench vs field craft
Early tools appear from the same craft flow you open near the hub. Later mods (gears on a club, scissors on tools, backpacks) often want a workbench interaction — verify which recipes are “hand craft” vs station craft in your build. Either way, the priority rule is identical: unlock reach, then optimize.
Why this is not Breathedge 1 crafting
Sequel blueprints, material names, and station repairs differ. Do not paste first-game Chapter 2 shopping lists into your inventory plan. If a wiki row lacks a version tag, treat it as rumor until it matches your encyclopedia.
What should I craft first in Chapter 1?
Opening playthroughs converge on the same ladder. Exact numbers below are community-observed from early EA footage and must be re-checked in your encyclopedia — if the UI disagrees, the UI wins.
Priority
Craft
Unlocks
Recipe status
1
Pry / crowbar tool
Babe’s lock + weak containers
Metal pieces — 待实机 exact count
2
Thumper / drill
Aluminum-style deposits
Metal + aluminum mix — 待实机
3
Cutting tool
Sealed panels, wires, tape patches
Often ~4 metal + ~4 aluminum — 待实机
4
Tool damage mods
Faster breaks / slightly better fights
Gears / scissors — optional early
5
Backpack / carry QoL
Less inventory panic
Duct-tape chain — 待实机
6
Oxygen helpers
Purified O₂, better tanks / consumables
Multi-step — 待实机 full tree
Do01Craft the pry tool the moment Babe asks for the lock — do not explore first
Do02Farm aluminum only after the thumper exists; melee on deposits is a time sink
Do03Build the cutter before you promise yourself “just one more sealed chest”
Do04Link each new tool to a hotbar slot immediately
Do05Defer decorative junk and unverified late recipes until the hub oxygen pocket is stable
Tie crafts to the walkthrough phases
Pry tool → power battery install → public oxygen repair parts → thumper/cutter for antenna-era salvage. If you are lost on quest order rather than recipes, jump to the walkthrough and come back when the objective names a missing tool.

How do I feed the craft queue without wasting EVA?
Materials are the boring half of crafting — and the half that kills runs when you over-fly. Scavenge with a shopping list, not vibes. Pair this section with resources once you need location-oriented routes.
Material cue
Typical source behavior
Feeds
Metal scraps / cans
Break boxes, trash, light wreckage
Pry tool, cutter, many repairs
Aluminum deposits
Need thumper; glowing / marked nodes
Cutter and mid-tier tools
Electronics
Pull panels, smash TVs / appliances
Repairs, mid recipes — 待实机
Plastic / foam
Cut sealed foam pieces
QoL crafts — 待实机
Duct-tape patches
Cut wall / pipe patches with cutter
Backpack and mod chains
Ice
Break ice chunks outdoors
Oxygen station fuel + water via kettle repair
Glass
Rarer floating / wreck finds
Window patch — easy to miss
Biomass / spoiled food
Food cabinets; load into nutrient machines
Nutrient packs after machine repair
One-orbit rule
Leave the hub with at most two target mats in mind. Refill oxygen at the safe pocket or public bubble, craft, then decide the next mat. Long multi-district tours before the oxygen station works are how beginners “lose” hours with a full inventory of the wrong scrap.
Machines that turn trash into progress
Once certain hub appliances are repaired, spoiled food becomes biomass for nutrient packs, and ice becomes water. That is still crafting-adjacent: you are converting scavenged junk into survival buffers so the next blueprint run lasts longer. Repair part lists: 待实机 per build.
Which crafts expand safe travel range?
Not every blueprint is equal. In Chapter 1, value means “more seconds of useful EVA” or “access to a new salvage layer.” Combat damage mods are secondary until your oxygen loop is stable.
A slightly stronger club does not help if you black out on the flight home. Spend craft time on oxygen helpers and tools that shorten looting animations. Detailed meter habits: survival. Suit slot specifics: equipment.
Ship crafts stay later
Personal ship cabin work and crew unlocks matter for comfort, but they are not the Chapter 1 gate. Clear tool blueprints first, then visit ship & crew when the hub feels secure.
Which recipes stay TBA until verified?
EA will rename items and retune costs. This page refuses fake precision. Use the table as a honesty map, then confirm inside your build’s encyclopedia before you publish a spreadsheet elsewhere.
Do01Screenshot your encyclopedia entry when a recipe looks “final”
Do02Tag any external guide with the Steam build / patch date
Do03Prefer priority ladders (this page) over memorized stacks
Do04Re-verify after major EA updates before teaching others
Calculator stub
A noindex craft calculator stub lives at /tools/craft-calculator. It will stay dumb until verified recipe rows exist — do not expect recursive material magic yet.
Breathedge 2 crafting FAQ
What is the difference between blueprints and recipes?
Players use both words for the same loop: unlock knowledge, then spend materials at the craft UI / workbench. In-game labels may say encyclopedia, blueprint, or recipe — follow your build’s wording.
What should I craft first?
Pry tool, then whatever the station power / oxygen repairs demand, then thumper and cutting tool. Details in the priority table above.
Where do I find aluminum and duct tape?
Aluminum-style nodes need the thumper. Duct-tape patches are cut from wall / pipe patches with the cutter. Exact node maps: verify in your build and cross-check resources.
Are recipe tables on this page complete?
No. Unverified counts are marked 待实机 on purpose. Trust the in-game encyclopedia over any static table.
Is base building craftable now?
Building is a major future EA pillar. Do not assume Chapter 1 has a full base recipe list.
Do first-game crafting guides work?
No. This is the sequel’s EA Chapter 1 systems — start from this page or the beginner guide.
